教学目标 
1 To introduce the present perfect tense generally. 
2 To introduce the different forms of transport at different times in Beijing.
3 To talk about changes over time.
重点 To introduce the grammatical concept of the present perfect tense by focusing on a timeline and ordering information chronologically.
难点 To introduce the grammatical concept of the present perfect tense by focusing on a timeline and ordering information chronologically.
教学过程设计
Step 1 Free talk
1. T: Hello everyone, glad to see you again! Did you have a nice winter holiday? Are you happy to be back to school and see all your friends?
Did you have a good time? What did you eat? What food is your favorite?’
2. Talk about something that has changed in our life or in our city, good changes or bad changes.
Step 2 Presentation 
1. In the past, Hobo and Eddie were good friends. But now something happens between them. Do you want to know what’s wrong with them? Now, read the dialogue, and find out the answers of the following questions. 
1) What did Eddie do?     
2) Why did he do that thing?     
3)  Has Eddie changed? 
4) (Explaining the new tense: the present perfect tense) 
        Eg: Have you seen my food? (see—saw—seen) 
            I’ve (I have) eaten it. (eat—ate—eaten) 
            We have not seen him for a long time ……         
How has he changed? 
5) What about Hobo?       
2. Listen to the dialogue again and try to repeat after the tape
3. Read the dialogue together and understand the meaning of the dialogue.
4. Change some sentence patterns according to the dialogue 
E.g.:  I’ve eaten it  ------ I haven’t eaten it. 
----- Have you eaten it? Yes, I have /No, I haven’t.
5. Read it again and try to recite it.
Step 4 Presentation
1. Everything changes every day, can you find them around you?       
Give Ss 5 minutes to talk about this topic. Next, you will learn some information about the different forms of transport at different times in Sunshine town. Do you want to know them? Show the pictures. Discuss them with the Ss.        
 What’s the use of it? 
        Where do you usually see it? 
        Is it a special one? Why? 
        Which transport do you like best? 
2. They are all good transport. And they are important for us. Now, write the correct names under the pictures.
Step 5 Practice
1. Ss act out the dialogue and they are encouraged to add in something they like.
A model dialogue 
A: How did you …l when you….?  
B: I used to … by…
A: Why didn’t you take a bus?  
B: …A: What do you think of …?  B: …
Step 6 Summarize
课后作业
Finish workbook exercises.
Revise the contents learnt.
Predict the next period.
